Outpost Extension Privacy Policy

The Outpost browser extension automates the creation and status tracking of Facebook Marketplace vehicle listings that are queued through the Outpost platform, for dealerships using Outpost. This is its only purpose, and this policy covers only data handled in service of that purpose.

What we collect

• Facebook account identifier and display name. When you pair the extension, it reads the c_user cookie on facebook.com to identify the logged-in Facebook account, and sends that account's identifier and display name to Outpost to associate the paired browser with your dealership's Outpost account.
• Authentication token. Outpost issues a session token to the paired browser, stored locally in the browser and sent with each request so Outpost can recognize the browser as belonging to your dealership account.
• Marketplace listing content. Vehicle details, price, description, and photos supplied by Outpost are written into Facebook's listing form by the extension. The extension also reads Marketplace page content to locate form fields and confirm whether a listing submitted successfully.

How we use it

Solely to operate the paired Facebook session and to post, update, and report the status of listings queued through Outpost on your behalf. We do not use this data for advertising, profiling, analytics resale, or any purpose unrelated to that single purpose.

Sharing

We do not sell or transfer this data to third parties. It is sent only to Outpost's own backend, which is the service this extension exists to operate against.

Retention

Paired-account and authentication data are retained for as long as the browser's pairing with an Outpost account remains active. To request deletion, contact us at the address below.

Security

All communication between the extension and Outpost's API occurs over HTTPS. The extension does not include third-party analytics or tracking code, and does not load or execute remote code — everything it runs is bundled at build time.

Children's privacy

This extension is a business tool for dealership staff and is not directed at children.
